Fireworks display returns to Quarry Park

The annual fireworks display presented by the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District Volunteer Association will take place at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the same location as last year, Quarry Park.

The park is located at 3101 Zelkova St., on the north end of Clark Mill Road, in Sweet Home.

Limited paid public access will be allowed, starting at 7 p.m., Police Chief Jeff Lynn said.

The Rotary Club of Sweet Home will partner with SHFAD to manage public access to the fireworks display are. The public access will include a viewing area and a limited number of parking spaces.

Vehicle access to the site will be limited to available parking spaces.

It will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost to park will be $10 per vehicle.

Proceeds will go to the SHFAD Volunteer Association to help fund its 2023 fireworks display, and the Rotary Club, which supports the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and local scholarships for Sweet Home High School graduates.

Approximately 200 parking spaces will be available during this first year. No pre-sold tickets will be available this year.

Also, Linn Shuttle will transport people at no charge starting at 7:30 p.m. The two designated shuttle pickup locations will be at the Sweet Home Community Center and the Sweet Home City Hall.
