First baby’s brother has plans for him

Sweet Home’s first baby of 2019 was welcomed into the world Thursday, Jan. 3, at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

Baby Emmett Ray Villines was born at 9:24 a.m. to parents Matt and Heather Villines, joining his older brother Wyatt, 5. Emmett weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 20¾ inches long.

Wyatt said he plans on teaching his new brother how to ride a bike and a four-wheeler when he turns 3 years old, because that’s how old Wyatt was when he started riding.

Matt and Heather were born and raised in Sweet Home. He works at R&L Excavating, a family-owned business, and she works as a property manager for Viridian Management.

The Villineses received gift certificates from Cedar Shack and Figaro’s Pizza for the honor of having Sweet Home’s first baby of the year.
