Five arrested after search warrant at Nandina home

Sweet Home police arrested five people after serving a search warrant at 1280 Nandina St., on the northwest corner of the intersection of 13th and Nandina, Monday morning. Aug. 8.

Police served the warrant at approximately 7 a.m. in cooperation with Linn County Regional SWAT and Albany Police Department.

Arrested were the following:

Dawn Madsen, 44, for possession of methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, first-degree child neglect and frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold;

Paul Donaldson, 47, for possession of methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold;

Hartley Montgomery, 30, for possession of methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold;

Amber Barton, 32, for possession of methamphetamine, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold; and

Denise Salvador, 46, for possession of methamphetamine and frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold.

Police seized methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription drugs, scales, packaging material and drug records, said Sgt. Jeff Lynn. Police also located one minor in the house. The child was released to custody of relatives.

“Basically, it’s the result of an SHPD investigation that really stemmed from the complaints of neighbors regarding the high volume of traffic to and from the residence,” Lynn said.
