Flora “Emily” Hovey, 92, of Corvallis died June 8, 2006.
She was born in Naper, Neb. to Robert and Flora Archerd. She married Perry Hovey on Feb. 26, 1930 in Everett, Wash.
Mrs. Hovey lived in California, where she worked for Sears for many years, then moved to Quartzite, Ariz. She lived in Sweet Home, beginning in the 1980s, until she moved to a care facility in Corvallis in 2003.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading.
Mrs. Hovey is survived by a son, Roger; four grandchildren, all of California; and a niece, Ina Dunaway of Sweet Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Hovey, in 1993 and her daughter, Edith, in 1930.
