Florence man arrested in SHPD drug investigation

Sweet Home police, assisted by officers from other agencies, arrested a Florence man on Tuesday, March 16, while serving a narcotics-related search warrant in Florence.

Police Chief Bob Burford said the search was part of an ongoing SHPD investigation in which “detectives have traced back local sources of these controlled substances to the Lane County and Florence area.”

The search, at 1497 15th St. in Florence, was conducted at approximately 5 p.m. by Sweet home detectives assisted by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Albany Police Department and Florence police.

Burford said police seized “sales quantities of psilocybin mushrooms and MDMA (Ecstasy)” along with four firearms, cash and “a substantial quantity of drug paraphernalia.”

Keagan Brian Dillon Munds, 19, a resident at the location, was charged with delivery of psilocybin mushrooms, a Schedule 1 controlled substance; possession of psilocybin mushrooms; delivery of MDMA and possession of MDMA, Burford said.

Munds was also charged separately with possession and delivery of psilocybin mushrooms from an earlier sale of the drug made to an undercover detective, Burford said.
