Florence O. Bridge

April 22, 1919 – April 11, 2006

Florence Olive Bridge, 86, of Sweet Home, died April 11, 2006 at the Twin Oaks Rehabilitation Center in Sweet Home.

She was born April 22, 1919 to Kenneth W. McKenzie and Olive Roundtree near Kennewick, Wash.

She was the president of the Sweet Home Women’s Bowling Association for several years. In 1970 she baked 1,000 loaves of bread to help raise funds for the Sweet Home High School band to go to Europe.

She is survived by her children, Joanne and Tony Albrethsen of Junction City, Jeanne Reves of Sweet Home, B.J. “Judi” and Charlie Reynolds of Sweet Home and Cecil and Mary Bridge Jr. of Sweet Home, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Jack McKenzie, Jim McKenzie and Dave McKenzie; and sisters, Pat Wright and Betty McKenzie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Bridge; brother, Ken McKenzie; sisters, Margaret McKenzie and Lola Barnes; two grandsons; son-in-law, Bert Reves; and daughter-in-law Tammie Bridge.

A service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Workman and Steckly Funeral Chapel. Viewing will be for one hour preceding the time of service. Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
