Florencio Rodriguez, 72, of Sweet Home died July 7, 2015.
He was born Sept. 24, 1942 in Edinburg, Texas to Pedro and Pabla (Trevino) Rodriguez.
He worked at the Salem unemployment office from 1976 to 1983.
Mr. Rodriguez enjoyed gardening, painting and carpentry. He loved farm animals, bird aviaries and tinkering on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Rodriguez of Sweet Home; sons Taurino Rodriguez of Cumming, Ga. and Armando Rodriguez of Coos Bay; daughters Paula Storbeck of Coos Bay and Kimberly Mooney of North Bend; stepson Adam Grandorff of Newport Beach, Calif.; seven sisters; six brothers; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pabla Trevino; father Pedro Rodriguez; a sister; and a brother.
Viewing, Rosary and funeral Mass were held July 14 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church. Final burial, with military honors, was at Gilliland Cemetery.
