The Sweet Home Ranger District, City of Sweet Home and South Santiam Watershed Council received honors from the U.S. Forest Service recently.
District Ranger Mike Rassbach presented the City of Sweet Home with the award during the April 23 City Council meeting.
Four Caring for the Land Awards are given annually to districts and agencies within U.S. Forest Service Region Six. They are given in categories like land stewardship, partnerships and environmental education.
