Four arrested in SH drug bust

Four people were arrested Tuesday, July 22, during a drug bust at 1418 Westwood Lane in Sweet Home.

Sweet Home Police Chief Jeff Lynn said the operation took place at approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday when personnel from his department, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, the Lebanon Police Department, and the Albany Police Department executed a narcotics related search warrant at the Westwood Lane home.

During the search of the residence, detectives located and seized marijuana, methamphetamine, scales, drug paraphernalia, drug records and stolen property.

Four adults were arrested at the location.

James Adell Brown, 37, was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and frequenting a place where controlled substances are used and/or sold. Brown was also arrested on an outstanding Linn County Circuit Court Warrant for failure to appear on a prior methamphetamine possession charge.

Sherrice Lynn Roebuck, 41, was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance – methamphetamine to a minor and frequenting a place where controlled substances are used and/or sold.

Joshua Lee Roebuck, 27, was arrested and charged with frequenting a place where

controlled substances are used and/or sold. Roebuck was also arrested on an outstanding Linn County

Justice Court warrant for failure to appear.

Melissa Merlene Nelson, 43, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and frequenting a place where controlled substances are used and/or sold.

A 17-year-old juvenile was found in the residence at the time the search warrant was served, Lynn said. The

juvenile was removed from the location and released into a family member’s protective custody.

He said the investigation stemmed from concerns within the neighborhood associated with frequent short-stay

traffic at the residence.
