Members of the public are invited to celebrate the 13th annual Gala Autumn Festival of Music and Fine Arts on Oct. 18.
“This wonderful event began 13 years ago to provide an opportunity for talented artists and musicians primarily from our own community to share their talents with an appreciative audience,” Dr. Henry Wolthuis said.
This year has another program of many local talented artists and musicians, featuring baritone Joe AhQuin of Laie, Hawaii.
This year’s program will include some budding youthful musicians, traditional and seasoned string/piano quartet, numerous vocalists and organist Eric McKirdy of Albany.
The Gala Committee includes Dr. Wolthuis and Mollie Wolthuis, John Wittwer and Bruce Workman. They are always looking for talented individuals who may be invited to participate in future programs. Persons who know of such individuals should contact a member of the committee.
The evening will begin with an art exhibit at 6:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1155 22nd Ave., The concert will follow at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the concert while participants, friends and audience have some social time.
The event is free, and all are invited.
