Gary Buzzard, 66, died Oct. 2, 2010 from a heart attack.
He was born Oct. 11, 1943 in Erie, Pa. to Harry and Margaret Buzzard. He moved to Southern California in 1955 with his family.
Mr. Buzzard married Joan Buchanan in 1964. He moved to Oregon in 1968. He drove log trucks, ran an asphalt plant and retired as a welder for Phoenix Construction. He belonged to the 99 Car Club. He loved restoring old cars, working in the yard and garden, helping neighbors, friends, family with any projects.
Mr. Buzzard is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan; sons Allen and daughter-in-law Shih-lin of Brownsville and Mark of Donald; daughter Brenda and son-in-law Tyson Halverson of Sheridan; brother Dick and sister-in-law Jean of San Carlos, Calif.; sister Bonnie Kleber of Seal Beach, Calif.; brother Kevin and sister-in-law Chris of Bothell, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Adventure Christian Church, 2831 NE Newby St., McMinnville.
