If I wanted an “It’s Great to be Straight Cake” to celebrate my son’s coming out of the closet from the gay lifestyle, I would not go to a gay-owned bakery.
If I want to celebrate the fact that I am white, I would not ask an African-American baker to make me an “It’s All Right to be White” cake.
