Gene Stanley Johnson, 74, of Brownsville, passed away Saturday. He was born in Ada, Minn., to Herman and Orrie (Tenneson) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson served in the Air Force from 1950 -1955 as an aircraft instrument technician. He worked for the Postal Service for 20 years. He retired and moved to Brownsville in 1984.
He then worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Sweet Home, building kiosks and other woodworking projects. He was a skilled carpenter and woodcarver. He enjoyed music and sports. He loved to hunt, fish, and camp. He loved his family.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnne, children Susan Wickersham of Bull Head City, Ariz., Ruth Bennett of Ceres, Calif., Jane Stewart of Bull Head City, Ariz., and Gregg Johnson of Reno, Nev.; his twin sister Joy Aaberg of Starbuck, Minn., and another sister, Ann Barsness of Billings, Mont.; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Naomi Kragness and her family and several nieces and nephews.
Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.
