Gifts to hospital overwhelming

Editor:

I recently had the privilege of asking local Sweet Home businesses if they would like to donate to the Lebanon Community Hospital (LCH) Foundation’s Employee Caring Campaign.

I work for the LCH Foundation and I happen to know many of the business owners because of my past history of working in the New Era’s advertising department when my dad, Dave Cooper, owned the paper.

Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital and its surrounding clinics, plus Wiley Creek Community, employs close to 700 people here in East Linn County and the Willamette Valley. Our annual Caring Campaign is held each October, offering employees the opportunity to support the hospital and its programs, through the LCH Foundation.

At the end of the month, we have a large drawing of prizes for those employees who have participated in the campaign. This drawing is what I was asking local businesses to contribute prizes for.

I was overwhelmed by the positive and generous response from Sweet Home’s businesses!

Thanks so much to A&W Restaurant, The Point Restaurant, Sam City Fusion Restaurant, Sweet Home Florist & Gifts, Mollies Bakery & Restaurant, Sweet Home Safeway, Periwinkle Provisions and the Coffee Bean Coffee Shop for your recent gifts for our drawing.

Thank you not only for supporting your local hospital, but thanks for making this Sweet Hometowner proud of her roots.
