Sweet Home’s girls basketball team fell to 3-4 on the season Tuesday, Dec. 20 , with a 41-28 home loss to Sisters.
Sisters (2-7, No. 35 in 3A) was up 21-16 at halftime before pulling away even more in the second half.
The Outlaws outshot the Huskies 38.1% to 26.8% from the field, and had 15 assists to the Huskies’ two. They also outrebounded the Huskies 33-20.
Senior Brooke Burke had 23 points for the Huskies on 9-26 shooting, though she was 1-10 from three-point territory. She also led the team with six rebounds and five steals. Sophomore Kaylynn Mamac had two points on 1-5 shooting, and freshman Addy Vannice had two points on 1-6 shooting.
The Huskies (No. 22 in 4A) will compete in the SCTC Holiday Classic this week, facing off against Baker (5-0, No. 2) at noon Wednesday, Dec. 28 at Stayton High School. The girls are also scheduled to play Thursday and Friday, Dec. 29-30, but the times and opponents have yet to be determined.
