Coach Ken Roberts resigned Monday for health reasons.
Athletic Director Dave Goetz said Roberts is taking a leave of absence until he can be cleared by his doctor to return.
In the short term, Goetz is looking for a coach to take Roberts’ place, Goetz said. In the meantime, Goetz is handling coaching duties. He hopes to have a new coach in place in a couple of weeks.
He does not have a timeline for hiring a new coach, he said, and will take the time to find the coach who is in the best interests of the program and community and most importantly in the best interests of the girls in the program.
