Ashley Danielson and Jenny Hamn were named the Huskies offensive players of the year in girls basketball last week during the team’s annual awards dessert.
Paige Niemi won the team’s sportsmanship and defensive player of the year awards, and Hillary McCartin received the team player award.
Danielson, Heather Polley and Kelika Kaniaupio received the coach’s award, Coach Dave Goetz said. Those are given to someone who unselfishly is willing to go far above and outside their own abilities for the team, someone who is always smiling and having a good time.
Danielson also was named to the all-league first team. Niemi and McCartin received all-league honorable mention.
Receiving their first-year letters were Hamn, Niemi, Danielson, Nicole Fagan and Alex Thompson.
Receiving first-year letters were McCartin, Kishya Davis, Celena Westfall, Riley Cole, Brianna Yost and Polley.
