Glen E. “Pete” Hammersley, 57, of Sweet Home died Sept. 25, 2012.
He was born July 26, 1955 in Prineville to Wesley and Beatrice (Blalack) Hammersley.
Mr. Hammersley loved the outdoors, including fishing, and worked as a Linn County Sheriff’s deputy and boot camp officer in Astoria.
He is survived by his wife, Darnelle Gentry; mother Beatrice Clawson; brother Ray Myers and sister-in-law Connie, and sister Brenda Harrington, all of Sweet Home; son Cory of Riddle; son Ray and daughter-in-law Shannon of Albany; two grandchildren; brothers Jim Myers of Eugene and Tom Hammersley of Florida; sister Debbie Collett of Corvallis; 15 nieces and nephews; 28 great-nieces and nephews; and eight great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lawanda Anthony.
A private service will be held.
