Glen Segler

Glen Thomas Segler, 75, of Sweet Home died Dec. 8, 2007.

He was born in Blackwell, Okla. to William Thomas and Effie Odessa (Goble) Segler.

He lived in Whittier and Lake Forest, Calif., before moving to Sweet Home in December of 2003.

Mr. Segler was a lineman for about 25 years with Southern California Edison. He was a greeter at Saddleback Church in California and was also a chaplain at hospitals. He enjoyed reading, watching westerns, leather making, doing his honey do’s and woodworking. He made the most beautiful things.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Segler of Sweet Home; three daughters, Diane Kachelaein of Vista, Calif., Karen Packs and Nancy Segler, both of Sweet Home; one sister, Lois White of Rancho, Calif.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-son-in-law; plus nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, mother- and father-in-law, and five brothers and sisters all with heart conditions.

At this time no public service has been planned. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
