Burcham’s 84 leads Husky golfers
Jarrod Burcham shot a 43-41-84 to be low scorer as the Husky golfers competed against other Capital Conference teams April 23 at Salem.
Stayton won the meet with a 345 followed by Sweet Home with a 352, Central, 359; Cascade, 360; Molalla, 360; North Marion, 365.
Keith Horn was on Burcham’s heels shooting a 43-42-85. Scott Gagner posted a 46-45-91, Ricky Howe shot a 47-45-92 and Kyle Temple shot 49-51-100.
Kevin Morales of North Marion was meet medalist with a 40-39-79. Jason Klein of Cascade was second with an 81, Burcham of Sweet Home was third with an 84, Danny Goodell of Stayton was fourth with an 84, Keith Horn was fifth with an 85 as was Jeff Singer of Central.
“We did a good job considering we had never seen this course before,” Coach Tom Horn said. “This was Jarod Burcham’s best score of the year. He played very well after the first two holes when he was four over par.”
Keith Horn played well also.
“This is about where I thought he would finish. We hope to take a couple strokes off his game as he nears the final matches of the season,” Coach Horn said. “Overall, this was our best team results of the year.”
