Winning the women’s division of the annual Sweet Home Boys and Girls Club golf tournament recently was Ridgeway Logging with Jamie Bilyeu, Lori Patterson, Karen McNatt, Linda Kaser and Tammy Dickey at three under par. The second-place women’s team was Melcher Logging at four over par with Glenda Melcher, Coreen Melcher, Marda Blem, Jeanie Thorpe and Betty Lym.
The top men’s team was Unified Insurance and U&R Logging with Joel Stock, Skip Stock, Phil Pollock and Joel Keesecker at 15 under par. The second-place men’s team was Cascade Timber Consulting at 12 under with Larry Blem, Roger Arnold, Kevin Roberts and Mike Clever.
In two longest drive contests, the first-place winners were Larry Blem, Glenda Melcher, Joel Stock and Vicky Carper. Mary Crocker and Jean McKinney each won a closest to the pin contest. Dale Bate won the marshmallow hitting for distance contest.
The event raised approximately $6,500, which will go toward Boys and Girls Club operations.
