Sweet Home’s boys finished second in a four-team golf match Monday, May 2, at Diamond Woods in Junction City.
The Huskies scored a team total of 405, well behind Woodburn’s 354, but well ahead of Stayton (436) and Junction City 471.
Woodburn’s Ty Beyer finished as individual medalist, with a 77.
Morgan Sands led the Huskies with a 92, followed by Carsen Perry (95), Chet Garrett (109), Joseph Hiemenz (109) and Easten Perry (111). Jacob Silvers, playing as an individual, shot 119.
Up next for the Huskies is the district tournament, which for the boys will be May 9-10 at Tokatee, east of Springfield.
On the girls side, Bailey Womack is expected to compete May 9-10 in the 4A/3A/2A/1A-SD3 Special District 3 championship at Bandon Crossings Golf Course.
