I would like to say thank you to the people of Sweet Home who came out in support of Wiley Creek this last week – especially to those that had the courage to stand up and speak. It was amazing to see so many people come together in such a short time and rally for a common cause, the protection and rights of our senior citizens.
It truly sent a message to others and Samaritan what the fabric of our community is woven from, people that have the heart to care about other people no matter who they are or where they live.
For those that were not a part of this incredible moment in our community, you missed a real opportunity to be a part of the spirit that resides within our citizens and community.
I also want to say thank you to the residents and staff of Wiley Creek who were faced with the possibility of losing their jobs and homes as they know it and, demonstrate the compassion for each other and strength to overcome such adversity. We honor you.
In addition, to those that stood outside in the darkness and cold of night, your dedication for a common cause was incredible.
Last, I would like to thank Samaritan Health for listening and having the courage to change their direction with how Wiley Creek was to be utilized. Seeking to understand, and realizing that we cannot jepordize the need of one, for the future of another.
What makes Sweet Home so unique is that we have a spirit that cannot be discouraged by others or exhausted from hard work.
