Graduate Kaden Zajic had a tough last week as a high schooler.
When pulling out of the gravel parking lot at the Sweet Home High School baseball field at 8:09 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, the 18-year-old’s utility terrain vehicle rolled over on its side, onto his left arm, according to a Sweet Home Police Department report.
In the accident, Zajic sustained a servere injury to his hand that required surgery at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
The senior was able to persevere, walking at graduation just two days later with a bandaged hand and sling — and a pillow.
