Harold Miner Jan. 1, 1933 – Jan. 20, 2017

Harold Eugene Miner, 84, of Medford, a former teacher in Sweet Home, died Jan. 20, 2017.

He was born Jan. 1, 1933 to Artie Mae and Wilbur Harold Miner in a farmhouse just outside of Rosston, Okla.

He married his high school sweetheart, Ruby Ann Wheeler, in 1951. They had three children, Timothy (born and died the same day), Rocky Miner (wife Barbara) and Brooke Stranberg (husband Paul).

He has five grandchildren: Cristin, Amber, Tim, Justin and Ashley; and seven great-grandchildren: Kaylie, Carson, Austynn, Paislee, Gianna, Cam and Revenna.

Harold was a teacher and a coach who was loved and respected by his students and athletes. He taught mechanical drawing and coached basketball and cross-country in Sweet Home.

He loved hunting, fishing and spending much of his time outdoors.

He was a kind man who was a good role model for family and friends.

He is now celebrating in heaven with his wife of 51 years, family and friends. We are pretty sure he is already planning his first hunting and fishing trip.
