Harvey Jeppsen

Aug. 22, 1916-Nov. 19, 2005

Harvey Delmont Jeppsen, 89, died on Nov. 19, 2005 in Pueblo, Colo.

He was born on Aug. 22, 1916 in Salmon, Idaho, to James Sylvester Jeppsen and Georgia Olina Anderson.

He has lived in California, Oregon, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Texas.

After high school, he went to work in the mining industry in Idaho and Utah. He joined the Army Air Corp during World War II and served in the Pacific Theater. He was a logger in Sweet Home in the 1940s and Arizona. He was a rancher in California. He moved to Colorado to mine. He lived in Texas in 1981 and worked in demolition. He also worked on aircraft engines from the World War II era. He moved back to Colorado three years ago to retire.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim, Buzz and Claude; and granddaughter, Jayline Danelle.

He is survived by his sons, Alan (Lillian) Jeppsen of Gulnare, Colo., and Dane (Nonie) Tapp of Trinidad, Colo; brothers, Guy (Marteal) Jeppsen and Jackie (Jody) Jeppsen of Sweet home; sisters, Aval, Carol and Carolyn; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and Irene and Frances, who cared for him the past three years.

A memorial service was held on Nov. 26 at the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home with Don Rehling officiating.

The Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
