Helen J. Christianson, 79, of Springfield and formerly of Sweet Home died recently.
She was born to Gertrude and Hance Enderson on Feb. 25, 1917 in Terrell, Minn.
She married Dewey Christianson on Aug. 29, 1936 in Belview, Minn. They moved to Montana for two years and then to Sweet Home, where they lived for 47. She moved to Springfield after her husband died.
They had three children, a son, Jack Christianson of Springfield, and two daughters, Darlene Grissom of Albany and Norma Warriner of Springfield. She had four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, along with one brother, Howard Enderson of Tracey, Minn., and one sister, Alida Reirerson of Fontana, Calif.
Mrs. Christianson enjoyed baking, traveling, dancing and playing bingo. She worked at White’s Electronics for 18 years.
She was a member of the Elks, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Sons of Norway and Lutheran Brotherhood.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandchild.
