Editor:
These are very trying times for all types of humanity.
Unfortunately, not everyone is living in the most comfortable of housing situations.
It is sad and perplexing to listen to some complain of “eyesores”, when there are families caught in circumstances brought about by decisions someone else makes.
Being homeless is not just because one person chooses to lose a place to live. There are many reasons to find oneself without a firmly solid home place.
A whole church family choosing to be a place of hope for those trying to survive, to help those who are “down and out,” are to be encouraged and supported.
If the sight of helping is a problem, then perhaps it would be more supportive if more of us would not turn away but offer more support for a solution that would not be such an “eyesore.”
It does take time and effort and work. If we really live in such a great place, then let us find a way for everyone to be glad to be here, not just the ones who can complain about how it looks!
Respectfully,
