Herman Russel Hammons died on Aug. 6, 2005.
He was born in Benton County, Ark., in 1924.
He and Pearl Alice Brayhill were married in 1946. They had two sons, Denver and Russel Hammons.
The family moved to Oregon in 1950. Mr. Hammons worked for Willamette Industries for 34 years. He drove fork lifts.
He retired at age 62, and he and his wife enjoyed traveling and their grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl; sons, Denver and Russel; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother.
Services were held on Aug. 12, 2005.
A memorial service was held on Nov. 12 at First Baptist Church.
The Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.
