Hero Half donation to local veterans

Local veterans accepted a $7,000 donation, above, from Hero Half Marathon organizers Rachel Kittson-Maqatish, at right of check, and Marty Mealue, left of check, at a pizza feed for White’s Electronics staffers, above, right, who fielded – by far – the largest team in the race, 62 runners and walkers. Ric Olson, at right in left photo, said the “huge amount of money” would “stay right here in Linn County” to fund veterans causes.
