Hills above Foster Lake look nuked

For years I have sat at the point above Foster Reservoir savoring the beauty of the water and trees and mountains beyond.

This week what I encountered was the ruination of the beautiful wilderness and beyond belief. Now directly across from the point is a bare ugly hill where logging crews have felled every tree. It looks as lifeless as the aftermath of an atomic bomb explosion.

Sweet Home people have always taken pride in the recreational beauty of this area. But, alas, when measured against the almighty dollar, the dollar has once again won.
