History of Kalapooya Indians told duringwatershed annual meeting at Brownsville

The Kalapooya Indians were a resourceful people, known for their ability to produce medicine from the many varieties of plants available in the Willamette Valley.

Archaeologist Tony Farque of the Sweet Home Ranger District, provided an overview of native American life during the annual meeting of the Calapooia Watershed Council held Thursday evening in Brownsville.
