A hit-and-run left a hole in the side of Mollie’s Bakery Saturday evening.
Police responded to the call at 5:38 p.m. They found and recoverd pieces of a vehicle at the scene of the hit-and-run.
Steve Hanscam covered the outside of the hole with a board. Linda and Don Doles blocked the hole from inside the bakery.
The building is owned by Merv Hanscam.
“I wanted a drive-in window, but I guess I’d have to hire a midget to use it,” Mollie Andrews joked about the hole, which was low in the wall and about four feet wide.
“We were lucky,” Mollie said. “It could have been worse.”
The accident did not disrupt Mollie’s business. The bakery was closed at the time, and it is closed on Sundays.
Persons who may have seen the accident or have information may contact Sweet Home Police Department at 367-5181.
