Holley Truck Fire

Firefighters from the Oregon Department of Forestry and Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District douse flames in a pickup truck in a mown hayfield at 40270 Crawfordsville Drive, behind Holley School early Thursday morning. The 1999 F-350 Ford truck burned after a dog knocked over a can of gas in the bed and when the owner, Glen Long, tried to start a chainsaw on the tailgate, the fuel ignited and burned the vehicle, according to SHFAD officials. Firefighters responded at 7:21 am. Estimated damage to the truck and its contents was $13,500.
