Hollis “Jim” Harding Hill, Jr., 74, of Sweet Home died July 23, 2015.
He was born Oct. 16, 1940 in Nevada City, Calif. to Hollis Harding Sr. and Frances Marie (Murch) Hill.
He served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962 and was stationed in Okinawa.
In the early 1980s Mr. Hill moved to Sweet Home; his mother followed him five years later.
He worked for White’s Electronics for 13 years. He was good at fixing anything. Mr. Hill was an excellent bowler and loved fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Hill of Sweet Home; son Richard Hill of Grass Valley, Calif.; daughter Kimberly Dawn Leach of Myrtle Point; sister Lillian Woodward of San Jose, Calif.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his father, Hollis Hill Sr.
A graveside service is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at Lewis Cemetery.
