Heat from a chimney caused an attic fire at 41985 North River Dr. at about 12:57 a.m. on Friday.
The fire caused approximately $30,000 in damage to the home of Gerald Graham. There was minor water damage to the walls and floor with water damage to sheet rock and structural damage from the fire in the attic.
Firefighters found smoke and fire in the attic when they arrived. They extinguished the fire.
