Sweet Home Police Sgt. George Dominy crossed Husky Field at halftime to join the SHHS choir in performing “God Bless America.”
Behind him, local firefighters, police officers and officials unfurled a giant American flag. Beyond them, fire engines and patrol cars were displayed.
The SHHS Homecoming Court arrived in humvees and other military vehicles driven by members of the Oregon National Guard.
