Homer Pack, 82 of Sweet Home died Nov. 21, 2006.
He was born Sept. 15, 1924 to Homer and Eudora (Irwin) Pack in Bellingham, Wash.
Mr. Pack joined the Navy in his youth and fought in World War II. After leaving the war he came back to the Lebanon-Sweet Home area, where he lived most of his life. He worked for local logging companies and eventually became a fire warden.
Mr. Pack is survived by his daughter, April Ferbee of Baker City; sons, Michael Pack of Anchorage, Alaska and Bill Pack of Baker City; sister, Nancy Hendricks of Lebanon; longtime companion (17 years), Erma Miller of Sweet Home; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (McClendon) Pack.
