Hotel drowning victim identified, looking for next-of-kin

UPDATE (March 3, 2017 10:40 a.m.)

Lebanon Police have been unable to locate next-of-kin to Alfred Andrew Nichelson, Jr., the 56-year-old Sweet Home man who found submerged in the pond at Best Western Premier Boulder Falls Inn, in Lebanon on Feb. 24.

Lebanon Police Department and Lebanon Fire District personnel arrived at 7:58 a.m., in response to a report from grounds-keeping employees, and located a body in the water that appeared to have been submerged for several hours, according to an LPD press release.

Water rescue personnel from the Lebanon Fire Department retrieved the body of a deceased male.

As of Friday afternoon, the investigation has revealed that man was a transient from the Sweet Home area.

The man was alone and there is no suspicion of foul play, according to police. He was not staying at Boulder Falls Inn. The investigation is ongoing.
