Hubert Galster

Hubert Galster, 82, of Sweet Home, died Jan. 22, 2013 in Dallas.

He was born Aug. 16, 1930 in Sweet Home to Louie and Pearl (Davis) Galster.

Mr. Galster served in the Navy. He lived in Orleans, Calif. before returning to Sweet Home in 2001.

He owned a fishing tackle business and worked in the wilderness in the areas he loved. He enjoyed fishing, picking mushrooms, hiking and spending time outdoors.

Mr. Galster is survived by his daughters, Roxanne and Summer; sons Lance Galster and daughter-in-law Kathy of Sweet Home, Bill Galster and daughter-in-law Tasha of New York and “Little” Hubert Galster of California; step-son Roy and daughter-in-law Rosie of Sweet Home; sisters Nadine Johnson and brother-in-law Swede of Coos Bay, Naomi Lindsey and brother-in-law Bob of Eugene, and Pat Johnson of Sweet Home; brothers Robert Hancock and sister-in-law Pat of Guam, Alfred Hancock and sister-in-law Grace of Sweet Home, and Marvin Points of Sweet Home; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Galster, in 2002; sister Maxine Galster in 1962; and wives Margaret Morgan and Dulcee Galster.

No services are planned at this time.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
