Huskies defeat S. Umpqua 4-3 in nine-inning play-in game

The Huskies varsity baseball team came back from a 3-0 deficit in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game and then defeat South Umpqua 4-3 in nine innings. Kobe Olson sacrificed himself on a bunt to move Holly to third base. With one out, South Umpqua intentionally walked Devin Stafford and Keanu Aiona, increasing Sweet Home’s exposure to a possible double play. Colton Smith shot the ball deep center right to score Holly. The Huskies will advance to the first round of playoffs next week.
