The Huskies had two winners at the eight-team Rob Allen Invitational track meet in Lebanon, in competition with 6A North Salem and Sprague, 5A schools Bend, Dallas, South Albany and Lebanon, and Elmira from the 4A division.
Annie Whitfield won the girls javelin (129-4) and Jake Johnson took the boys discus (141-11).
But it was some of the other performances that made the meet noteworthy.
Johnson was fourth in the boys javelin with a 16-foot PR of 148-5
In his second outing at the distance, freshman Jakob Hiett placed fourth in the 3000, in 9:38.75. Sophomore Ashton Stutzman was third in the high jump with a lifetime best of 5-10.
On the girls side, Nicole Rasmussen ran a five-second lifetime best of 5:14.81 in the 1500, despite getting bottled up, while Paige Sanders finished with a six-second PR of 5:26.32.
Sweet Home will compete at Sprague Wednesday, May 9, and then will host the district meet May 17 and 19.

In a non-scoring home meet against Sky-Em opponents Cottage Grove, Elmira, La Pine and Sisters on Wednesday, April 2, the Huskies had several significant personal-best performances.
Jade Corliss threw a 2-foot PR in the shot put (34-9½) and Kaitlyn Watts notched a three-foot personal best int the discuss (88-0). Jordan Miller, in her second try at the javelin, upped her best by over 12 feet to 81-7 and Faith Swaney cleared 7 feet in the pole vault, a foot over her previous best.
