Sisters 11, Sweet Home 1
The Sisters Outlaws defeated the Huskies 11-1 under the 10-run rule in five innings in Sisters Friday.
“Awful rough day for us today.” said Coach Dan Tow. “We didn’t really do anything very well other than a couple of nice defensive plays.
“We couldn’t get anything going on offense, and it wasn’t our best effort pitching-wise or defensively either.
“Sisters got a couple of big hits and basically just did a good job of capitalizing on our mistakes.”
The Huskies were unable to find a hit, but Danny Virtue was able to reach base and score a run.
Sisters scored 10 runs in the first three innings. The Huskies scored their only run in the fourth inning. Sisters added one more in the bottom of five to end the game.

In relief, Brandon Keenon, gave up two hits, five walks and three runs, two of them earned. He struck out two.

Elmira 2, Sweet Home 1
The Elmira Falcons slipped by the Huskies 2-1 in Sweet Home on April 19.

“He only gave up three hits, and two runs that were both unearned.
“We had people in scoring position in each of the last three innings, including bases loaded in the sixth and seventh with only one out.
“We hit some balls really well in those innings, but unfortunately, they were right at them, and we couldn’t score.”
Justin Tow scored Jake Long in the first inning to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead. Elmira scored one run each in the third and fourth inning.
Justin Tow led at the plate, going 3-4 with a double and an RBI; and Kobe Olson hit the ball well going 2-3 at the plate. Long and Virtue each had a hit.
