Sweet Home won two softball games, 14-4 at Taft and 9-8 in an 11-inning marathon at Harrisburg, and lost 6-0 in hosting Regis over the past week.
The Huskies continue this week at Willamina and then host Junction City in the first round of state playoffs on Friday, tentatively at 4:30 p.m.
“They’re a solid team,” Coach Steve Hummer said. Marist and Sister, two of the best in the state, finished ahead of Junction City.
