Huskies win against peers, but drop 15-6 decision to alums

Sweet Home 9, Cascade 4

The Huskies summer baseball team topped Cascade 9-4 Friday night at home.

“Our defense was sharp tonight,” Coach Dan Tow said.

“I thought Kyle Pettit did an especially nice job in centerfield.

“We played well tonight. Our offense was clicking, and we did a good job of driving in runs. The pitcher was solid, but we did a good job of hitting the ball and driving in runs.

“I thought it was one of our better games of the summer. A lot of guys really did a nice job with the bats.”

Robby Wallace was starting pitcher and winning pitcher. Adam Hummer pitched in relief. Olson was losing pitcher.

At bat, Greg Sipe went 3-4. Chaz Davis went 3-4 with a double. Hummer went 2-3.

Adam Matuszak went 1-3 with a double. Neal Van Epps went 1-2 with an RBI.
