With one second left in the football game Friday night, Oct. 23, the Huskies were on the Sutherlin 30-yard line, trailing 14-13, when Justin Tow threw up a Hail Mary that Dan Virtue tipped to teammate Jesus Patricio in the end zone for a 25-21 win.
The victory leaves the Huskies tied with Cottage Grove, a 19-14 winner over Junction City, and the Tigers for second in the league, which means playoff spots for the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the league will likely come down to a coin flip this weekend.
