Huskiettes finish third at West Linn competition

The Sweet Home High School Huskiettes took third among six teams at a dance competition held at West Linn over the weekend.

“The girls were so happy,” said Coach Kristin Aschraft. “I was very pleased with their performance.”

The competition was hosted by the Judges Affiliation, and each team had 20 minutes with the judges for critique and feedback.

“It was a great day and the judges gave us some good ideas to improve our routine,” Ashcraft said.

The Junior High School dance team also took 3rd place in its division.

“We were so proud of them,” Ashcraft said. “It was really fun for the two teams to be at the same event and get to support each other.”

The Huskiettes’ next competition is at Molalla on Feb. 11.
