Sweet Home’s dance/drill team, the Huskiettes, above, hosted their annual dance exhibition Monday night at the Main Gym, featuring the routine they will perform at the state championships this Thursday, March 16, at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland. Sweet Home is scheduled to perform at 6:24 p.m. The Huskiettes, above and lower right, are performing a routine entitled “Beyond Measure” to Kelly Clarkson’s “Invisible.” Huskiette members are Hazel Blank, Lexi Burks, Jackie Cheshire, Allyssa Davis, Zoe Denbo, Jandy Drake, Marissa Green, Kailey Harrington, Dana Hiett, Dez Kimble, Eva Kinker, Jayme McDonald, Aria Smith, Collette Valentine and Ilima Walker. They are coached by Eohe Howerton, Kristina Mathers and Spring Burr. Also performing Monday were a wide variety of local groups, including 3- and 4-year-olds, below, from a Steelhead Strengh and Fitness dance progtram coached by Sweet Home dance alum Amy Offutt. At upper right, Sweet Home Junior High dance team members perform an “Alice in Wonderland” routine (that’s the Queen of Hearts on the floor) to Avril Lavigne’s “Alice.” At right, Husky alumni dance to Ariana Grande’s “Sing.” Additional performers were groups from dance camps led by Huskiette members, Cascade Performing Arts and Hollywood Studios, both Lebanon-based dance programs.
