The Huskiettes Dance-Drill team placed second in its division at the Stayton competition Saturday, Feb. 4.
Coach Kristin Ashcraft said Sweet Home beat two large teams that numbered 20 or more. The Huskiettes had seven dancers on the floor.
“That is amazing,” Ashcraft said. “The bus was very loud on the way home.”
The team will be back in action at the Woodburn Invitational on Feb. 25.
The state competition, for which the Huskiettes have already qualified for the second round, is March 17.
