The second annual Husky Baseball benefit breakfast was hosted Nov. 15 by the Rusty Bucket Tap House.

The event raised $2,253 for the program, organizer Jenna Northern said.

“We served less meals this year, but received more donations.”

Jim Hagle, Chris Miner, Joe Rosa and Anthony Hoffman Cooks cooked up 100 meals of pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee, and juice.

“We had a great turnout this year with players, setting up, serving, cleaning up and welcoming our guests,” Northern said.

Oregon State University baseball player Gavin Turley, who was a fourth-round pick in the MLB draft last summer by the Athletics, attended, along with teammates AJ Singer, Connor Mendez and Tyler Bellerose.

Northern said the funds raised will go “straight back to the kids” for equipment, spring break tournament trips, team gear, etc.

“We had nine generous raffle baskets this year, which made this fundraiser a complete success,” she said. “We greatly appreciate the community that we get to call home and all of the support everyone has shown us over the last few years. We hope to see everyone in the bleachers at Husky Field this spring.”
